Port Moody City Council will hold a Regular Council meeting on June 9, 2026, at 7 p.m. to consider the approval of a Temporary Use Permit (TUP00026) for the property located at 2325 St. Johns Street. The permit, if approved, would enable the temporary use of the currently inactive chiropractic office as a small yoga studio, offering low-impact wellness classes.
The proposed temporary use is for an initial period of three years. Council will have the option to renew the permit for an additional three years at their discretion after the initial term concludes.
Residents interested in the proposal are invited to attend the meeting, which will be held in person at the Council Chambers, City Hall, 100 Newport Drive, Port Moody, B.C. An electronic meeting option will also be available for remote participation. Details and instructions for joining the electronic meeting can be found at portmoody.ca/councilmeetings.
Public input is encouraged. Those wishing to provide feedback may do so by submitting written comments to the Clerk’s Office. Submissions must be received by 12 p.m. on June 9, 2026, and can be sent via email to [email protected], through hard-copy mail to City Hall (c/o Clerk’s Office), or by fax to 604.469.4550. Please include “TUP00026” in the subject line of all written communications.
Draft copies of the proposed permit are available for public inspection online at portmoody.ca/tup. Additionally, physical copies can be reviewed in person at the second-floor counter in City Hall, Monday to Friday, from May 22, 2026, to June 9, 2026, excluding statutory holidays, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. For any questions regarding the application, staff can be contacted at [email protected] or by calling 604.469.4540.
