The Downtown Port Coquitlam Business Improvement Association (BIA) has unveiled its "Downtown PoCo Friday Nights" summer series, promising evenings filled with live music and family-friendly entertainment. These vibrant community gatherings are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, June 19, and Friday, July 3, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Leigh Square in the heart of Downtown Port Coquitlam.
Admission to both events is free, and all ages are welcome to attend. The series aims to foster community spirit, support local businesses, and provide a summer market atmosphere with local vendors. Attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup of performers. The June 19 event will feature The Public Servants, Jamboogie, Travis Bernhardt the Magician, Miss Shauna, Blackberry Wood, and The Yoshi Show (Juggler). The July 3 event will showcase Matt Hermano, Ava Nicole, Robin Layne & the Rhythm Makers, and Rock N Beau.
In preparation for these events, the Downtown PoCo BIA has issued a call for performers and vendors. They are actively seeking bands, duos, DJs, and other groups to grace the stage, as well as food vendors, artisans selling handmade products, and local brands looking to connect with the community. These events offer a prime opportunity for residents to engage with local entrepreneurs and artists while enjoying the summer evenings together.
