Overview

The Friends of Chamber Music present the Busch Trio — hailed by the Süddeutsche Zeitung as "the leading piano trio of their generation" — in an evening of Dvořák and Tchaikovsky at the Vancouver Playhouse. Formed at the Royal College of Music in London, the trio adopted the name of legendary violinist Adolf Busch after Mathieu van Bellen was honoured with the use of the "ex-Adolf Busch" G.B. Guadagnini violin (Turin, 1783). The Times praises their "effortless musicianship" and Gramophone calls them "a true delight from start to finish."
