NORTH VANCOUVER, B.C. — Early birds and wildlife enthusiasts will have a unique opportunity to dine alongside local celebrities this summer. Grouse Mountain has announced the return of its popular "Breakfast with the Bears" program, officially kicking off on Saturday, June 6.
The exclusive, family-friendly event allows guests to gain early morning access to the mountain and observe the refuge's two resident grizzly bears, Grinder and Coola, as they enjoy their morning meal.
Attendees will meet a Grouse Mountain Ranger at the Base Plaza at 8:00 a.m. before taking an exclusive 8:15 a.m. tram ride up the mountain. Guests are then escorted to the Grizzly Lookout, where a wildlife expert will lead an educational presentation. The Ranger will discuss grizzly bear behavior, highlight vital bear conservation efforts, and conduct a live morning feeding with Grinder and Coola.
Following the bear feeding, guests will be treated to a hearty buffet breakfast at 9:15 a.m. inside the Grizzly Lookout Café. The menu features a robust spread, including scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, herb-roasted Yukon Gold potatoes, a smoked salmon platter, house-baked pastries, seasonal fresh fruit, and special "bear cookies."
The "Breakfast with the Bears" experience is scheduled for select weekend dates throughout June, before expanding to multiple days a week in July and August.
Tickets for the experience are priced at $79 for adults (19-64), $65 for seniors, and $55 for both youth (13-18) and children (5-12). A family package covering two adults and two children or youth is also available for $229. Prices include gratuity but do not include general Mountain Admission or taxes.
Advance bookings are highly recommended as space for the early morning experience is limited. For more information or to reserve a spot, visitors can check the Grouse Mountain website.
