Overview

Discover the ancient Japanese art of gyotaku — fish printing — in this hands-on workshop led by Vancouver-based artist Paula Nishikawara at the Evergreen Cultural Centre. Participants will use real fish, washi (Japanese paper), and paint to create unique art prints that capture the beauty and detail of marine life. Optional: bring your own fabric items such as scarves, bags, or shirts to create wearable gyotaku art — all other materials are provided.
