Abbotsford, BC – On Thursday, May 21, 2026, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) carried out a significant operation at a rural property located in the 7600 block of Bradner Road in Abbotsford. The coordinated action was part of an ongoing investigation led by the unit’s Illegal Firearms Enforcement Team (IFET) targeting firearms and drug trafficking within the region.
During the comprehensive search, officers successfully discovered and dismantled a clandestine drug laboratory. In addition to the lab, investigators seized a substantial collection of illegal weapons, described as a "large cache." The presence of hazardous materials typically associated with such labs necessitated the involvement of the RCMP Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response (CLEAR) Team to safely secure the site for further investigation.
The complex nature of the operation required a multi-agency response, with support from the Abbotsford Police Department and the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team (IERT). Authorities acknowledged that the extensive police presence and road closures significantly impacted local residents, temporarily limiting access to their properties.
Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha, media relations officer for CFSEU-BC, emphasized the critical importance of dismantling clandestine drug labs for public safety. She highlighted that these operations aim to mitigate the inherent risks posed by hazardous substances and to disrupt organized criminal activities that threaten community well-being.
