LANGLEY, B.C. — Berry enthusiasts, mark your calendars. The highly anticipated strawberry season is officially returning to Krause Berry Farms, bringing fresh, field-grown fruit and the return of the farm's popular U-Pick experience.

According to a recent announcement from the family-owned Langley farm, the first field-grown strawberries of the season are expected to hit the farm's Market shelves on May 27.

For those eager to get out into the fields and harvest their own, the Strawberry U-Pick is slated to officially open on June 5, provided weather and crop conditions permit.

What Does it Cost?

Current pricing for the strawberry U-Pick is set at:

  • Small basket (up to 1.5 lbs): $6.00

  • 4-litre basket (up to 6.5 lbs): $21.50

Management notes that pricing is subject to change throughout the season based on crop availability.

How Does it Work?

Farm officials are advising visitors that the U-Pick experience operates strictly on a "first come, first pick" basis.

  • Container Requirements: To manage the fields efficiently, Krause Berry Farms requires all guests aged three and older to pre-purchase a designated picking container at the U-Pick station before entering the fields.

  • Reuse & Save: While outside containers are strictly prohibited, visitors who have kept clean Krause containers from previous visits are encouraged to bring them back to reuse for a small discount.

Krause Berry Farms is located at 6179 248th Street in Langley, B.C.
