The Vancouver Lego Club (VLC) is inviting the public to the Burnaby Central Railway for three exciting weekends in June, featuring a brand new train layout and an interactive creation station experience. This special event, which celebrates World Play Day on June 11, 2026, aims to encourage play for all ages with the theme, “you should never stop playing!”
Visitors are encouraged to bring their LEGO® passports to collect exclusive World Play Day and VLC stamps during their visit. The VLC's participation is part of a larger display event titled "Lego, Lego, Lego!" at the Burnaby Central Railway, located in Rainbow Station. This exhibition is designed to highlight the vast creative possibilities that Lego offers for both children and adults.
The VLC will be on-site and participating in the event over three consecutive weekends: June 6th-7th, June 13th-14th, and June 20th-21st, 2026. The Lego display will be accessible during the Burnaby Central Railway's regular operating hours. It is important to note that while World Play Day is on June 11, 2026, the VLC itself will not be present at the Burnaby Central Railway on that specific Thursday.
The Burnaby Central Railway, operated by the British Columbia Society of Model Engineers, is renowned for its miniature railroad featuring train rides pulled by scale-size replica live-steam locomotives. The VLC exhibition is one of several special events scheduled for the railway’s 2026 season, which also includes displays by the Canadian Toy Train Association in July and the Vancouver Toplink model railway club in September.
