Surrey, BC – A 22-year-old man, Gursewak Singh, is facing numerous charges stemming from a series of firearms and extortion-related incidents across Surrey and Abbotsford in December 2025. The charges follow collaborative investigations by the Surrey Police Service (SPS) and the Abbotsford Police Department (APD).
The investigations began on December 14, 2025, when SPS Frontline officers responded to reports of shots fired at a business in the 8000 block of 120 Street, Surrey. Police confirmed gunshot damage to the building. The business, which had previously received extortion threats, was occupied at the time, but fortunately, no staff members were injured.
The following day, December 15, 2025, SPS officers attended a business parking lot in the 12400 block of Old Yale Road, Surrey, where two vehicles had been set ablaze, resulting in significant damage. This business had also been targeted with extortion threats.
On December 17, 2025, Gursewak Singh was arrested by members of the Abbotsford Police Department immediately after a shooting incident on King Road in Abbotsford. The SPS Organized Crime unit worked in conjunction with APD investigators, successfully identifying Singh as a common suspect in all three incidents.

He is also facing six additional charges related to the APD investigation.
