COQUITLAM, BC — Baseball BC has officially announced that the Coquitlam Reds of the BC Premier Baseball League (PBL) have been selected to host the 2026 18U AAA Western Canada Baseball Championship.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 14 to 16, 2026, at Coquitlam's Mundy Park. The premier event will draw top youth teams from across the western provinces to compete for the prestigious regional title.

"Baseball BC is excited to share that the [Coquitlam Reds] have been selected to host the 2026 18U AAA Western Canada Baseball Championship!" the organization noted in a social media announcement, offering congratulations to the Reds on earning the hosting bid.

The 2026 championship will mark a notable return for the PBL to the regional stage; it will be the first time a franchise from the league has hosted a Western Canada event since 2018. During that 2018 season, the North Shore Twins hosted the 18U AAA championship—a tournament the Coquitlam Reds ultimately won while representing Team BC, blanking South Central 7-0 in the final matchup.

Baseball BC expressed gratitude to the Coquitlam Reds for their continued partnership and stated they are looking forward to a highly competitive and successful event this coming August.
