PORT COQUITLAM, BC — The City of Port Coquitlam has announced a star-studded musical lineup for its upcoming Canada Day festivities, with Canadian rock legends April Wine and rising country music star Owen Riegling slated to headline the main stage at Castle Park on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

The annual free community event promises a full day of family-friendly activities, culminating in a grand finale fireworks display after dark.

April Wine, one of Canada’s most enduring and iconic rock bands, will bring their high-energy performance to the Castle Park stage. Known for hits like "Just Between You and Me," "Roller," and "You Could Have Been a Lady," the group is expected to draw fans spanning several generations.

Joining them is Owen Riegling, a standout in Canada’s modern country music scene. Known for tracks such as "Old Dirt Roads" and "Moonshines," Riegling has quickly gained national attention for his songwriting and engaging live shows, bringing a fresh and energetic presence to the evening.

“Port Coquitlam's Canada Day celebration is one of the biggest community events of the summer, and this year's lineup brings together two incredible Canadian acts for a night residents won't want to miss,” Mayor Brad West said in a city press release. “From April Wine's classic rock anthems to Owen Riegling's high-energy country sound, Castle Park will be the place to be on July 1.”
