SURREY, B.C. — Surrey Police Service (SPS) is investigating a violent altercation involving two groups of men that sent six people to the hospital on Tuesday evening.

Frontline officers responded to reports of a fight at a residence in the area of 133 Street and 89 Avenue around 8:20 p.m. on May 12, 2026.

Upon arrival, police located six adult males suffering from various injuries. All six were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. While the injuries were initially reported as non-life-threatening, SPS confirmed that two of the victims remain hospitalized with injuries now described as serious but non-life-threatening.

During the initial response, officers arrested two men at the scene. They were taken into police custody without incident. The suspects have since been released on an undertaking with strict conditions while the investigation proceeds.

The SPS Major Crime Section has assumed conduct of the investigation and is working to determine the circumstances that led to the confrontation.
