OTTAWA, ON — Two local BMX racers have been selected by Cycling Canada to represent the national team in the upcoming opening rounds of the 2026 UCI BMX Racing World Cup Series in Europe.
Coquitlam riders Dallen Brereton-Stiles and Jack Cerney are among six British Columbia athletes named to the competitive roster. The selection splits the riders into targeted racing blocks designed to maximize international competitive experience ahead of the World Championships this July.
Brereton-Stiles is slated to compete in the first block of the series, which features Rounds 1 and 2 in Sarrians, France, on June 6 and 7.
Cerney will join the national squad for the second leg of the European tour. He is scheduled to compete in Rounds 3 and 4, taking place in Papendal, Netherlands, on June 13 and 14.
The European events serve as a critical selection and preparation tool for Cycling Canada as coaches evaluate the final roster for the 2026 UCI BMX Racing World Championships in Brisbane, Australia.
