Overview
Visionary pianist Filippo Gorini returns to the Vancouver Playhouse following his impressive 2019 Canadian debut with the Vancouver Recital Society. Since his Borletti-Buitoni Trust-funded project Ricercare on the Art of Fugue, he has embarked on his ambitious Sonata for Seven Cities project — bringing music to concert halls, hospitals, schools, and soup kitchens in Vienna, Cape Town, Hong Kong, and Portland. This afternoon recital features Beethoven's monumental Diabelli Variations and Schubert's radiant Impromptus.
